Nextant is seeking a Content Editor 3 to join our team and support our mission to deliver strategic insights that empower business decisions. In this role, you will play a key part in the development of our monthly "Compete Update", a high-impact deliverable that gathers and synthesizes competitive intelligence for our engineering and sales partners.
The main function of a Content Editor is to write technical materials, such as equipment materials, appendices, or operating and maintenance instructions. A typical technical editor is responsible for organizing, editing and maintaining technical records and files.
Job Responsibilities:
- Organize material and complete writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style and terminology
- Maintain records and files of work and revisions
- Confer with client to establish technical specifications and to determine subject material to be developed for publication.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science or english, journalism, communications.
- 5-7 years’ experience required
- Minimum 5-7 years’ experience with Technical Writing; Experience in synthesizing competitive intelligence into succinct, technical documents.
- Minimum 5-7 years’ experience with Digital Advertising; In-depth knowledge of the digital advertising industry.
- Minimum 5-7 years’ experience with Competitive Intelligence Gathering; Ability to gather and analyze competitive intelligence effectively.
- Experience in creating documentation for a technical audience
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
- Ability to read some programming code
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Best vs average: The ideal resume would contain experience in marketing or digital advertising, preferably at a major technology company like Microsoft, Google, Meta, or Amazon. Demonstrated experience in program management, gathering and analyzing competitive intelligence, and being able to provide relevant work samples.
- Samples should be included with resumes. Samples should demonstrate the candidate's technical writing capabilities and experience in digital advertising. These could include examples of competitive intelligence reports, technical documents, or presentations related to digital advertising.

Pay Rate:
The annual salary range for this position is $90,000 - $96,500 in Washington State. Please note that the salary range is a general guideline. Nextant considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills, and other market and business considerations when extending an offer.
