Nextant is looking for Researcher 4 to join our client team. The main function of a Researcher is to write technical materials, such as equipment materials, appendices, or operating and maintenance instructions. A typical researcher is responsible for organizing, editing and maintaining technical records and files.
Job Responsibilities:
- Organize material and complete writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style and terminology
- Maintain records and files of work and revisions
- Confer with client to establish technical specifications and to determine subject material to be developed for publication
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science or English, journalism, communications
- 8-10 years’ experience required
- Minimum 8-10 years’ experience with UX research
- Minimum 8-10 years’ experience with concept and usability testing
- Minimum 8-10 years’ experience with stakeholder management
- Minimum 8-10 years’ experience survey design and analysis; must have the ability to design and analyze surveys to understand the frequency and importance of issues identified through qualitative research.
- Experience in creating documentation for a technical audience
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
- Ability to read some programming code
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Candidates that are transitioning from a different field like market research or product management, or who have no experience with UX research methodologies such as interviews, concept testing, and usability testing will not be eligible for the role.
Best vs Average:
- The ideal resume would contain solid UX research experience, demonstrating strong qualitative skills and familiarity with core methodologies. They should possess mixed methods of expertise, including survey design and analysis, and have experience in a highly technical space, preferably with exposure to B2B recruitment and product development. Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills, effective reporting and insight delivery, and flexibility to work remotely and manage time across different time zones are also essential.

Pay Rate:
The annual salary range for this position is $101,000 - $109,000 in Washington State. Please note that the salary range is a general guideline. Nextant considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills, and other market and business considerations when extending an offer.
