Nextant is seeking a Technical Copy Editor 3 to join our team. We are looking for a technical copy editor with experience preparing technical readiness materials and customer-facing documentation for a global audience. The role includes editing and maintaining content related to changing management, onboarding, and internal training. The person will also manage small cross-functional projects and communicate status updates. This role works closely with product, operations, development, and delivery teams to ensure content is accurate and aligned with current processes and services.
Job Responsibilities:
- Analyze, interpret and simplify technical, operational and readiness documentation currently in use
- Prepare documentation and videos for publication and localization (both internal and customer-facing use); including process documents, technical articles, guides, reports and some limited graphics
- Ensure all documentation aligns with Microsoft standards including formatting, quality and accuracy standards as outlined in the Microsoft Writing Style Guide, Accessibility and Term usage standards and Brand Central
- Manage and regularly communicate on project timelines and expectations across multiple stakeholders
- Assist with content management to ensure content stays fresh and relevant
Requirements:
- 5-7 overall years of experience in the field.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience with managing queues, generating tasks and creating and running queries in Azure DevOps (ADO)
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience with Project management (track and report on timelines, generate status reports and work plans)
- Minimum 4 years’ experience with Stakeholder management.
- 3 years’ experience in a technical writing role
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Microsoft 365 product experience or knowledge
- Technical expertise with products such as Articulate Storyline, Camtasia or Clipchamp, GitHub, Markdown and .xml
- Familiarity and ability to manage work in Azure Dev Ops
- Strong project management and communication skills
- Ability and desire to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
- Ability to handle ambiguity and multi-task
- Proven track record of working with a remote team
- Work experience with Microsoft 365 Copilot a plus
- Disqualifier: Candidates with all previous job titles being very technical in nature would indicate a lack of experience in writing and communication and will not be eligible for the role.
- Best vs average: The ideal resume would have experience in a fast-paced environment, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a proactive mindset. They should be proficient in Markdown in GitHub, Clipchamp, and Azure DevOps.

Pay Rate:
The annual salary range for this position is $67,000 - $74,000 in Washington State. Please note that the salary range is a general guideline. Nextant considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills, and other market and business considerations when extending an offer.
