Nextant is looking for a driver Training Specialist 5 to join our client team. The main function of a training specialist is to conduct training and development programs for employees. This person is responsible for collecting information, conducting research, and creating training materials and programs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor, evaluate and record training activities and program effectiveness.
- Offer specific training programs to help workers maintain or improve job skills.
- Assess training needs through surveys, interviews with employees, focus groups or consultation with managers.
- Develop alternative training methods if expected improvements are not seen.
- Organize and develop, or obtain, training procedure manuals and guides and course materials such as handouts and visual materials.
- Present information using a variety of instructional techniques and formats, such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos and lectures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training required.
- 10 years relate experience requiere.
- Minimum 8 years’ experience with creating complete training content from Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working closely with engineering teams to create training content based on their work.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience with delivery of training content to external teams/customers/users.
- Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
- Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, and leadership technique.
- Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods.
- Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods.
- Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
- Best vs. Average: The ideal resume would contain previous experience in a similar role for a large enterprise tech company. Especially previous experience integrating with engineering teams to identify standard operating procedure and transforming that into training content is very helpful. The best candidate has a great time standing up in front of external users and customers to deliver their trainings.

Fully Remote – Candidates must be able to work standard core hours in the PST time zone (8am-5pm PST) to best work with the engineering teams they will support.
Pay Rate:
The annual salary range for this position is $120,000 - $130,000 in Washington State. Please note that the salary range is a general guideline. Nextant considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills, and other market and business considerations when extending an offer.
