Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Freight Broker to join our dynamic logistics team at NextDue Logistics LLC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for facilitating the movement of goods by coordinating with shippers and carriers, ensuring timely and efficient delivery. This role requires strong negotiation skills, an understanding of transportation management, and the ability to manage accounts effectively.
Freight Broker experience required. No exceptions. Book of Customers/Manufactures REQUIRED.
** All commission, no base salary with minimum $5,000 monthly gross profit required.
Must have a book of customers - If you have a good solid book of customers, this can be very lucrative.
NextDue Logistics holds all the Bonds, Contingent Cargo and liabilities. You would run everything under our MC# 1566237 and NextDue Logistics takes on the risk. We will do all your invoicing, collections, claims, AP/AR etc. We also supply you with Load Boards, DAT, ITS Dispatch, Vonage calling line, etc. necessary to work on your role.
Duties
- Develop and maintain relationships with shippers and carriers to facilitate freight movement.
- Negotiate pricing and terms with clients and service providers to achieve optimal rates.
- Utilize logistics software to track shipments, manage schedules, and optimize routes.
- Generate leads through networking, referrals, and market research to expand the client base.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including FDA regulations for specific freight types.
- Manage accounts by providing exceptional customer service and addressing any issues that arise during the shipping process.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline operations and improve overall efficiency in freight management.
Requirements
- Proven experience in 3PL (Third Party Logistics) or logistics sales is preferred.
- Strong negotiation skills with a focus on pricing strategies.
- Familiarity with transportation management systems and relevant software tools.
- Knowledge of NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) operations is a plus.
- Experience in lead generation and account management within the logistics industry.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong attention to detail.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
