Strategic Growth and Business Development
- Develop and execute a growth strategy to expand fiber design services with major U.S. fiber operators.
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at large telecom and broadband companies.
- Identify market opportunities and trends to position the company as a leading provider of fiber design solutions.
- Partner with the sales and marketing teams to create targeted campaigns and proposals tailored to client needs.
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of fiber design projects, ensuring high-quality results and timely completion.
- Leverage tools including IQGeo Fiber Design Tool, have expertise to optimize workflows, improve design accuracy, and enhance project efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineering, GIS, and design teams to implement best practices and enhance operational efficiency.
- Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor project success, client satisfaction, and financial performance.
- Manage escalations and troubleshoot complex project issues to ensure client expectations are met or exceeded.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of engineers, designers, and project managers.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Provide leadership in adopting new technologies, tools, and methodologies to optimize fiber design operations.
- Stay informed on industry advancements, emerging technologies, and fiber design tools (e.g., IQGeo, ESRI GIS, or similar platforms).
- Drive adoption of cutting-edge solutions, particularly IQGeo, to improve design accuracy, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with software vendors and internal IT teams to customize and integrate IQGeo design tools as needed.
- Responsible for the P&L of the Fiber Design group.
- Prepare and manage budgets for design projects, ensuring profitability and cost-effectiveness.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Monitor and report on revenue, margins, and other financial metrics related to fiber design services.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 10 years of experience in fiber network design, construction, or telecommunications, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record of growing business lines and delivering large-scale projects for major fiber operators.
- Experience with fiber design tools includingIQGeo. Oversee and optimize design processes effectively.
- Relationships and experience working with major U.S. fiber operators such as AT&T, Verizon, Comcast, or similar.
- Familiarity with regulatory and permitting processes for fiber networks in the U.S. market.
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) or relevant design platforms is a plus.
- Industry Expertise: Deep knowledge of fiber design principles, tools (including IQGeo), and telecom infrastructure.
- Leadership: Strong ability to inspire and lead multidisciplinary teams across various locations.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to identify growth opportunities and develop actionable strategies to capture market share.
- Client Management: Skilled in building and maintaining relationships with C-suite executives and other key stakeholders.
- Operational Management: Experience in overseeing complex projects with a focus on quality, efficiency, and scalability.
- Financial Acumen: Strong budgeting, forecasting, and contract negotiation skills.
