What are the responsibilities and job description for the Salesforce Product Owner position at Nextek, LLC?
Nextek Development builds software applications and solutions to serve the needs of independent Financial Service Professionals. We are seeking a motivated Salesforce Product Owner to join our Nextek team to guide the vision and configuration of our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, built on a Salesforce chassis.
Role Requirements & Preferences:
- Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Financial Planning, or related field
- Required: Salesforce Certified Administrator or Salesforce Certified Sales Cloud Consultant
- Required: 2 Years of Salesforce Experience
- Required: Experience with Salesforce Digital Experiences (Experience/Community Cloud)
- Highly-Preferred: Product management experience
- Preferred: Salesforce Financial Service Cloud (FSC) Experience
- Preferred: Financial Services industry experience

- Advanced ability to think strategically and persuade others to come to a common solution
- Advanced ability to proactively and independently conduct industry and user research
- Advanced ability to identify options and present them for decision
- Advanced knowledge of project management, timelines, and follow-through
- Advanced planning, prioritization, organizational, and time management skills with high attention to details
- Advanced skills in public speaking and interpersonal skills (verbal and written)
- Advanced ability to manage stakeholders/clients and work closely with them to determine solutions
- Advanced ability to lead development teams on new feature development and align new development with company objectives
- Proficient ability to work under tight timelines within a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Competent knowledge of products and services offered in the financial service industry
Day-to-Day Duties:
- Refine and drive Salesforce Platform vision and strategy to align with overall Company objectives
- Execute system configuration changes and builds, both in Sales Cloud and Digital Experiences
- Lead the development team on custom development efforts, both in Sales Cloud and Digital Experiences
- Conduct market and user research to identify user needs
- Prioritize the product roadmap based on Company and user needs
- Strategize and present ideas to stakeholders
- Function as the main point of contact between teams and stakeholders
- Keep internal teams, customers, and stakeholders informed of the status of the Salesforce Platform integrations and enhancements
- Provide direct correspondence and support for customer inquiries, including calls, emails and face-to-face
- Assist internal team members with inquiries or issues related to Salesforce
- Create presentations, educate and train clients, stakeholders and/employees
- Proactively identifying areas of improvement and prioritizing backlog
- Adjusting and improving each iteration of the product before release
- All other duties as assigned
