About the Role:
The Senior Director of Finance will be a key member of the leadership team at NextEra Energy Resources, LLC. The successful candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, business development, M&A, and strategic leadership, and will be responsible for developing and executing the company's financial strategy.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develops short- and long-term financial and economic forecasting and analysis strategy including monthly 5-year strategic forecast, the Monthly Operating Performance Report (MOPR) short term financial forecast, cash flow forecasts, updates to capital expenditure forecast, and forecast updates to credit rating agencies
- Selects, develops, and maintains a professional staff with strong analytical and problem-solving skills that are able to develop recommendations based on sound knowledge of the functional area and negotiate implementation
- Maintains and enhances various financial and economic models in accordance with GAAP and regulatory financial statements
- Consults with business unit leadership on economic and financial impacts of investment decisions
- Performs financial and commercial review of contracts, valuation analyses for potential acquisitions or divestitures, and other analyses as requested by senior leadership
- Develops, maintains, and continuously improves processes, systems and technology, measurement practices, and metrics reporting
- Oversees development of financial related rate case documentation
- Serves as regulatory witness backup, or oversee the activities of the witness backup for various financial related proceedings
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High School Grad / GED
- Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
- Experience: 12 years
- Leadership Experience: 6 years
