Position Specific Description

Operates pipeline and associated pipeline equipment / systems including, but not limited to : natural gas compressors, emergency shutdown systems, assists with equipment repairs as needed, and other duties as assigned. Performs regular inspections on the pipeline and pipeline facilities and takes appropriate action in response to alarms and issues as discovered and / or communicated by the Gas Control Center. In addition to the job description above you will also be responsible for the following :

• Reporting and monitoring environmental compliance as directed.
• Knowledge and understanding of applicable local, state, and federal regulations. Maintain documentation as needed.
• Performing lock out / tag out in accordance with procedures.
• Interfacing regularly with the Gas Control Center and plant personnel as needed.
• The selected candidate will be required to pass all Department of Transportation (DOT) and facility specific operator certifications / qualifications.

Job Overview

This job is responsible for safe and efficient pipeline operations and gathering systems on a day-to-day basis. Employees in this role ensure that regular operational and maintenance activities are carried out on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. This includes capturing gas samples, maintenance of gas metering equipment, and launching and retrieving pipeline rigs.
