PV Solar Field Technician II

Job Summary: The Site Technician will support the operation and maintenance of solar PV collection assemblies, battery energy storage, AC/DC inverters on multiple solar power plants. This position is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and environmentally sound plant operations.

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Site Technician to join our team at NextEra Energy Resources.

This position sits within the Power Generation Division, which is responsible for all of NextEra Energy's non-nuclear generation operations, exceeding 40,000 megawatts (MW) of installed capacity.

The position is based out of Northern NY, and the incoming employee will need to live in or relocate to the Syracuse area.

The Site Technician will perform duties such as reliability engineering, warranty management, operation and basic maintenance, electrical and power electronics troubleshooting and repairs, safety and environmental program stewardship, supervisory duties of NEE employees and contractors, mechanical troubleshooting and repairs, business duties and inventory management, heavy equipment operation, and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will have experience in electrical and mechanical trades, with a valid driver's license (non-CDL).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS include trade school graduation, licensed electrician, licensed master electrician, and six sigma yellow belt certification.

Required Qualifications
