The ideal candidate for this position will be able to handle and adjust program claims that may be complex in nature on behalf of Palms Insurance Company and Palms Specialty Insurance Company.
This includes overseeing and monitoring all aspects of the claim file handling of both in-house and third-party administered claims through diligent investigation and assessment.
Strategic partnerships with counsel, experts and vendors will be established to analyze and determine coverage, manage and evaluate the claim investigation and discovery while keeping internal and external stakeholders informed.
Continual evaluation of claims will occur to set appropriate and timely reserves over the life of the claim to reflect changes in exposure.
Advice will be provided to claims management on strategy for complex loss matters.
Maintenance of accurate and updated claim files throughout the life of the claim will be ensured.
Pre and post binding claim audits will be performed as needed and communicated to appropriate internal and external stakeholders.
This role requires excellent analytical/negotiation skills, excellent communication and writing skills, a strong business acumen and ability to collaborate with other departments, business partners and vendors.
The successful candidate will have a valid Driver's License, a High School Grad/GED and experience of at least one year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate, evaluate and negotiate satisfactory settlements of personal injury and major property damage claims
- Provide support and assistance to company attorneys throughout the claims litigation process, including court testimony
- Provide support to peers, and training to new Specialists
- Provide support and assistance to Service Centers to resolve claims matters
