An Investment Management firm within the Real Estate industry, is seeking an experienced professional to join their team as the Director of Financial Reporting in their New York City office.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements and reports, ensuring adherence to GAAP and SEC regulations.
- Manage both internal and external audits, providing the necessary documentation and support to auditors.
- Ensure full compliance with financial reporting regulations, including SEC filings and SOX requirements.
- Review and analyze financial data to detect discrepancies, trends, and assess financial performance.
- Develop and implement enhanced practices to optimize financial reporting processes.
- Lead and mentor the financial reporting team, ensuring they stay current with the latest accounting standards and regulations.
- Perform other duties, as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university/college.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- SEC reporting experience is required.
- Real estate industry is preferred.
Salary : $140,000 - $225,000
