What are the responsibilities and job description for the Management Company Senior Controller position at Nextera Search?
Our client within the Real Estate Investment Management space, is seeking an experienced professional to join their firm as a Management Company Controller in their New York City office. This role will follow a hybrid schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the corporate accounting function for the investment manager, focusing on daily operations while establishing and improving internal controls.
- Lead the month-end close process, ensuring accurate recording of investment manager activities and consolidation of subsidiaries.
- Improve the general ledger structure, design, and entries to support both GAAP and non-GAAP reporting by department and entity, with detailed visibility into vendor-level expenditures.
- Collaborate with finance teams at subsidiary companies to ensure timely and accurate submission of trial balances and consolidation.
- Conduct detailed reviews and analysis of ledger activities, monthly balance sheets, and income statements.
- Collaborate with the FP&A team in budgeting, forecasting, and monthly non-GAAP management reporting.
- Perform other duties, as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting.
- Minimum of 10 years of management company experience.
- CPA or equivalent certification is required.
- Supervisory experience is required.
- Experience implementing systems is a plus.
- Workday experience is a plus.
Salary : $200,000 - $225,000
