A Hedge Fund based in New York City is seeking an experienced professional to join their team as a Trading Operations Specialist. This role will follow a hybrid schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement processes for a newly introduced strategy
- Take full responsibility for overseeing processes and exercising discretion on when escalation is necessary
- Reconcile daily trades, investment positions, and cash balances with external stakeholders, such as banks, prime brokers, counterparties, and custodians
- Ensure data accuracy by updating the security master, fee/commission schedules, and holiday calendars
- Contribute to the development and improvement of operational workflows
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 to 10 years of relevant experience at a hedge fund
- Experience with building out processes and ability to successfully progress projects from one stage to the next
- Products: Corporate bonds, CDS, Equity TRS, and with OTC derivatives processing / lifecycle events
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly convey information and collaborate effectively across teams
