Job Overview :
The Radio Repair Technician will be responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and repairing two-way radios and related equipment. This role involves a variety of technical tasks, including using test equipment, diagnosing issues, repairing components, and supporting network peripherals linked to Motorola Solutions applications. The position will also require monitoring network processes, ensuring equipment performance, and utilizing AI / ML models to predict repair needs for subscribers and mobile devices.
Key Responsibilities :
- Set-up, Adjust and Operate Test Equipment : Follow defined procedures to operate test equipment and monitor equipment performance.
- Monitor Equipment Performance : Regularly monitor processes and collect data to assess machine performance.
- Troubleshoot and Diagnose Issues : Identify typical issues with equipment and processes, and apply corrective or preventative measures.
- Repair and Preventive Maintenance : Take action to repair or proactively prevent issues as they arise.
- Support Network Peripherals : Work with Motorola Solutions applications, including network support for routing IPs, ISP, security, cabling, ChromeCast, and LTE processes.
- Data Collection and Reporting : Collect data, validate results, and ensure accurate reporting and documentation.
- AI / ML Model Monitoring : Monitor the accuracy and usage of AI / ML models used to predict repair materials and needs.
- Provide Feedback : Offer insights into potential improvements in software enhancements and reporting automation.
