What they will be doing as a Construction Manager:
- They help drive supplier performance in the field.
- Act as subject matter experts for site issues.
- The role supports multiple customers in the market: AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile.
- Visit each construction site at least once during the construction phase.
- Conduct field visits (75-80% or more of their time) to educate and support crews in the field.
- Perform safety audits to ensure compliance and identify potential hazards.
- Address and resolve field issues promptly or escalate them as needed to improve internal processes.
- Collaborate with crews to remove roadblocks, drive results, and enhance performance without micromanaging.
- Provide feedback to improve tools, processes, and workflows.
What we are looking in a Construction Manager:
- Hands-on experience in construction project management or related field roles.
- Local to the SLC or surrounding regions to minimize relocation risks.
- Open to occasional overnight stays, though efforts will be made to strategically reduce this need.
- Comfortable spending most of their time in the field and adapting to a fast-paced work environment.
- Candidates must demonstrate an ability to drive results while fostering a supportive and educational environment for crews
Construction Expertise:
- Background in construction, particularly in managing or working on field projects.
- Experience with General Contractors (GCs) or similar field-facing roles.
Safety Knowledge:
- OSHA 10 certification required; OSHA 30 preferred due to safety audit responsibilities.
Problem-Solving & Leadership:
- Strong problem-solving skills to address and resolve field challenges effectively.
