Construction Planner I
Location: Pensacola, FL 32514
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours per week)
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (potential flexibility over time)

Position Overview:
The Construction Planner I is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing construction projects related to Hybrid Fiber Coax (HFC) networks. This role involves field engineering, project coordination, cost estimation, and database management to ensure efficient network deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform field engineering for proposed projects, optimizing construction routes for cost-effectiveness.
- Coordinate customer implementation activities, including site walk-throughs and subcontractor management.
- Manage contractor work, secure necessary permits and right-of-way (ROW) agreements, and distribute design documents.
- Review plans, gather data, and list material requirements for projects.
- Collaborate with public works personnel, developers, commercial customers, and utilities on joint trench projects.
- Maintain project workflow databases and update schedules.
- Estimate construction costs, prepare budgets, and track expenses.
- Verify serviceability, survey service routes, and estimate materials, construction, and labor costs.
- Initiate customer contact, coordinate access agreements, and complete route designs.
- Order materials, verify invoices, and reconcile project costs.
- Plan and allocate fiber splicing and activation when required.
- Inspect construction work and coordinate inspection assignments.
- Ensure projects are properly closed out in tracking systems, reconciling assets and generating reports.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 0-2 years of relevant experience in construction planning or a related field.
- Strong project management skills with experience in budget estimation and cost tracking.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel for tracking and reporting.
- Experience with construction cost estimation, revenue forecasting, and material planning.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with various stakeholders.
- No prior experience in MSO required—background in wireless or commercial construction is acceptable.
