Construction Planner I
Location: Pensacola, FL (Fully Onsite)
Payrate: $32.56/hr.
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7 AM – 4 PM or 8 AM – 5 PM (40 hours/week)
Travel: No travel required

Job Overview
This Construction Planner I role differs from other planner roles. It is a fully onsite position and is not safety-sensitive. The selected candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the construction of Hybrid Fiber Coax (HFC) networks to deliver voice, video, and data services to both residential and commercial customers.
Key Responsibilities
Field Engineering & Construction Planning:
- Perform field engineering for proposed projects, ensuring cost-effective routing and design.
- Construct, build, and inspect HFC networks.
- Verify serviceability, survey proposed service routing, and estimate material, construction, and labor costs.
- Plan and allocate fiber for splicing and activation.
Coordination & Permitting:
- Coordinate with other utilities, public works, developers, commercial customers, and building owners.
- Obtain necessary permits, joint trench agreements, and right-of-way (ROW) approvals.
- Manage subcontractor labor and oversee construction progress.
- Release addresses as serviceable and notify relevant departments.
Budgeting & Cost Management:
- Estimate construction costs, prepare budgets, and track expenses.
- Participate in managing revenue forecasts, material planning, capital, and expense budgets.
Project & Database Management:
- Maintain workflow databases and update project schedules.
- Close out projects by reconciling assets and generating reports.
- Research, review plans, and list material requirements for projects.
Reporting & Documentation:
- Order materials and reconcile invoices.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat for project documentation and tracking.
Required Experience & Skills

✅ Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat
✅ Excellent communication and organizational skills
✅ Ability to manage budgets, track expenses, and estimate construction costs
✅ Experience coordinating with utilities, subcontractors, and permitting agencies
Preferred Background
- Candidates do not necessarily need an MSO background.
- Experience in wireless construction or commercial construction is acceptable.
- Cable terminology can be taught on the job.

- The position is not a hybrid role but could transition to a flexible schedule.
Salary : $33
