Field Inbuilding Construction Manager
This is a fully remote role based in Seattle, WA. The Construction Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction projects, including vendor selection, subcontractor coordination, and on-site management. This role requires expertise in tower construction, colocation projects, DAS, and small cell deployments, including iDAS (in-building) and oDAS (public right-of-way).
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the subject matter expert on construction-related matters
- Oversee construction and modification of towers, DAS, and small cell projects, including fiber installation, hub/node construction, and utility make-ready.
- Ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget while adhering to client and customer policies.
- Directly advise and influence District, Program, and Project Managers in all construction aspects.
- Actively participate in vendor selection and contractor negotiations to secure competitive rates.
- Attend deployment and customer meetings as the representative.
- Build and maintain customer relationships to influence service awards.
- Conduct site visits, including bid walks, pre-construction walks, in-progress inspections, and punch walks.
- Ensure compliance with construction standards, safety policies, and workmanship practices.
- Maintain accurate project tracking and ensure timely completion of closeout documentation.
Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience job-related experience with project builds over 200 sites
- Perform: Site pre-inspections and coordinate post-construction audits.
- Site verification. o Visual inspection of quality on site
- Familiarity with RF Sweep testing, OTDR, Power Meter, and PIM testing.
- Working knowledge of NESC, NEC, and OSHA standards.
Qualifications & Experience:
- High school diploma required.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
- Experience in budget development and execution.
- Strong understanding of construction management processes.
- Familiarity with site acquisition, regulatory compliance, and permitting.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve on-site issues efficiently.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
Work Conditions:
90% fieldwork: Frequent travel to project sites with exposure to heavy equipment and various environmental conditions.
10% office work: Standard office setting with no environmental hazards.
