DAS Inbuilding Construction Manager
Location: Kansas City Metroplex (Remote with Travel Required)
Overview:
The Inbuilding Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing all civil works and associated financial controls for projects, ensuring adherence to company standards, processes, and procedures, as well as compliance with federal and local regulations. This role involves managing service providers, ensuring quality control, and driving project schedules.
External & Internal Interfaces:
- External: ASP/SP, Customer PM
- Internal: IM Lead, Project Admin, Project Sponsor, CPM
Responsibilities:
- Assess and control charges related to the agreed site design.
- Ensure that only approved materials are installed on the project.
- Enforce adherence to agreed civil works guidelines and schedules.
- Attend coordination and progress meetings.
- Supervise work in high-risk customer site environments.
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure proper maintenance of tools and working conditions.
- Address and resolve civil works issues during the project.
- Coordinate site activities and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Drive schedule activities and troubleshoot as necessary.
- Ensure service providers and vendors comply with technical specifications and quality standards.
- Enforce safety guidelines and construction procedures.
- Conduct site pre-inspections and coordinate post-construction audits.
- Perform site verification and visual inspections.
- Prepare and submit progress reports at regular intervals.
- Provide status updates and technical assistance as needed.
- Reject incorrect material deliveries to the site.
- Report poor performance and quality issues.
- Ensure compliance with civil design plans.
- Supervise and coordinate work with service providers and related disciplines.
- Lead teams with a focus on quality and results.
- Manage claims, order, and return materials.
- Maintain and update construction-related documentation in Site Handler, including:
- SOW and preconstruction documents (NTP, RFDS, safety guidelines, QA standards, etc.)
- NTP receipt verification
- RFDS submission review and changes
- Civil acceptance document submission, review, and approval
- Daily civil progress PFA verification
- Close-out document review and approval
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in job-related project builds of 500 sites.
- Highly developed problem-solving skills, capable of analyzing and improving processes.
- Ability to lead and guide teams effectively.
Required Training & Certifications:
The supplier is responsible for ensuring personnel have the necessary qualifications and certifications before beginning work, including:
- OSHA 30
- RF Awareness
- CPR/First Aid
- Ergonomics
- Any additional training necessary for maintaining certifications
