Installation Engineer IV (Contractor)- Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19103-2802
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Installation Engineer IV to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, troubleshooting, and maintaining technical products and network systems. This role requires a strong understanding of system installations, network connectivity, and equipment configurations.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Design & Implementation: Design, develop, and implement technical products and network systems.
- Engineering Evaluations: Conduct design evaluations and recommend modifications to improve product quality and operational efficiency.
- Installation & Maintenance: Install, troubleshoot, and maintain equipment to ensure peak performance.
- Issue Resolution: Diagnose and repair product failures, replacing parts as necessary.
- Customer Support: Assess customer needs and recommend appropriate products or services.
- Network Troubleshooting: Use various software systems to identify and resolve network connectivity and configuration issues.
- Training & Mentorship: Provide training and guidance to supported teams.
- Compliance & Reporting: Follow established guidelines, maintain documentation, and report to a supervisor or manager.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5 years of experience in system installation, network engineering, or related roles.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting network connectivity and managed services equipment.
- Strong understanding of technical products, system configurations, and repair processes.
- Experience working with software systems and applications for network diagnostics.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to mentor and support teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with large-scale network installations and telecommunications infrastructure.
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with cloud-based networking and software-defined networks (SDN).
- Experience working in a structured environment with pre-established guidelines.
