Job Overview
We are seeking an OSP Construction Project Manager to oversee and manage Outside Plant (OSP) construction projects. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in project management within the telecom industry. This role involves tracking project progress, resolving roadblocks, coordinating with local jurisdictions and pole owners, and ensuring smooth project execution. While this is primarily an office-based role, collaboration with field support teams will be required to address construction-related issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage OSP construction projects, ensuring they progress according to schedule.
- Maintain accurate project tracking and updates in database.
- Follow up with local jurisdictions, pole owners, and other stakeholders to resolve issues.
- Identify and eliminate roadblocks to keep projects on track.
- Participate in business partner calls and manage direct customer escalations related to project restorations.
- Analyze and manage project financials, ensuring cost efficiency.
- Work with large datasets and ensure accurate project documentation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Prior experience in OSP construction project management is highly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs), Teams, and MS Project.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Proactive mindset, capable of identifying potential issues and resolving them efficiently.
- Telecom background (especially in construction) is a strong plus.
- Financial acumen, with the ability to analyze data and manage project budgets.
Working Conditions
- Primarily office-based (4 days per week in the office).
- No fieldwork – a dedicated field support team will handle on-site concerns.
- Direct involvement with customers and business partners for escalations and project management.
