RF Engineer Net Systems Performance – III- Walnut creek, CA- Onsite
About the Role :
We are seeking an experienced RF Design Engineer to support network design, optimization, and implementation . This role involves site design, RF evaluations, network planning, and regulatory compliance , ensuring optimal coverage, capacity, and performance. The ideal candidate will have expertise in LTE / VoLTE and 5G technologies , strong analytical skills, and proficiency with industry-standard tools.
Key Responsibilities :
- Create site designs, RFDS, and complete plumbing diagrams for macro and small cell deployments.
- Perform radio engineering evaluations for system planning and site acquisition.
- Analyze and resolve coverage issues , ensuring network capacity meets performance requirements.
- Utilize RF propagation tools (Atoll, MapInfo, Google Earth) for site selection and coverage evaluation.
- Conduct regulatory assessments for FAA / FCC filings and zoning approvals.
- Design and review cell site upgrades and modifications .
- Collaborate with performance teams to improve network KPIs .
- Prepare zoning justification packages and regulatory filings.
- Work with real estate teams to streamline site acquisition, leasing, and zoning processes.
- Conduct RFE analysis and ensure compliance with mitigation standards.
- Determine antenna specifications for planned frequencies and their optimal placement.
- Design and implement macro and small cell network clusters , selecting appropriate cables, antennas, and equipment.
- Automate processes and share insights with internal teams.
