Job Description:
Summary:The Specialist II, Training is responsible for teaching the foundation of our product(s) and services to an international workforce. The Specialist II will ensure our employees are well- equipped with product and service knowledge to serve as our clients' trusted advisers.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide information and training to employees in an easy-to-understand format to ensure employee comprehension.
- Facilitate learning opportunities to develop participants' competencies and assist adult learners with meeting specified performance expectations.
- Monitor, coach, and develop assigned participants.
- Ensure our learning participants are provided with educational and training tools to enhance their knowledge and experience to ensure their ability to train employees on products and services.
- Follow up with managers and supervisors with identified gaps in training; provide additional training opportunities as requested and/or needed.
- Partner with management to ensure effectiveness in all situations.
- Partner with teammates to ensure learning paths meet the training needs of the company.
- Serve as the subject matter expert of the organization's products, services, and values.
Education:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience similar fields
- Or, any combination of education and experience which would provide the required qualifications for the position.
Preferred:
- NextGen Certified Professional (NCP)
Experience:
Required:
- 3 years of experience as a subject matter trainer responsible for delivering training modules and managing a classroom environment.
- 3 years of experience presenting employee training in a classroom, virtual, and/or blended training environment.
Preferred:
- 5 years presenting employee training in a classroom, virtual, and/or blended training environment.
- Experience training employees on technical software that is complex, integrated, and multi-layered.
- Experience delivering and/or presenting training content that adheres to modern adult learning principles, theories, and concepts.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Proficient knowledge and strong understanding and competency in NextGen Healthcare's (Electronic Health Record) (EHR) and/or Practice Management (PM), and other ancillary products and specialties.
- Knowledge of and familiarization with the administration of Learning Management Systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Ability to present training opportunities in a variety of virtual settings including but not limited to: Microsoft Teams and/or WebEx.
- Ability to demonstrate excellent communication (written and oral), interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to demonstrate strong presentation skills.
- Ability to adapt training based on the various levels of understanding.
- Ability to rapidly incorporate updates and changes into a dynamic learning curriculum.
- Ability to review, interpret and accepted feedback based on surveys or metrics and incorporate changes to ensure an excellent end-user experience.
Travel Requirements:
- Yes , 20 - 50%.
- Ability to travel between 20-50% for essential business needs only in accordance to public health, client, potential client, and NextGen Healthcare safety protocols and requirements where applicable, to reduce risks during and after travel which may include vaccinations, masks, social distancing, quarantines, and any Client Site/Facility requirements regardless of personal preference (some clients may require an employee to be fully vaccinated and show proof of vaccination before being allowed on site).
