Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing and moving materials and equipment to and from the job site.
- Assist in setting up the work area, including material and equipment setup.
- You will learn to read plans, specifications, shop drawings, and submittals.
- Perform tasks such as running conduit, pulling wire, and mounting electrical boxes.
- Support in troubleshooting electrical issues under the guidance of experienced electricians.
- Use hand and power tools to perform electrical tasks safely and efficiently.
- Develop skills in to support low voltage electrical projects such as fire alarm, access control, BDA and security.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A high school diploma or GED is required; some post-high school education or training is preferred.
- Must have knowledge and understanding of how to use basic hand tools.
- Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed.
- Able to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds and 100 pounds with assistance, work from heights above 10 feet, and work in confined areas
- Able to stand for long periods and to lift, crouch, reach, handle, push, and pull
- Able to work in extremely cold and extremely hot temperatures
- Able to work while exposed to loud sounds and noise levels
- Must have the ability to learn to pull, terminate and test all standard industry cable types.
- Must maintain an excellent driving record, maintain the vehicle and vehicle inventory, and comply with company vehicle policy.
