Job Summary:
The Business System Analyst (Mid) will be a key member of the Service Operation team, focused on enhancing data management to ensure the effective implementation of Executive Order 14028 and Memorandum 21-31. This role involves supporting the enrollment of enterprise IT assets into a centralized logging repository, facilitating customer engagement with system owners, and developing a schema to standardize logs being ingested. The Analyst will also conduct independent validation and verification (IV&V) of consolidated logs, oversee the review and approval of secured external website access requests (EWARS), manage the Enterprise IT configuration Change Management process, and administer accounts for Justice Enterprise File Sharing (JEFS).
Key Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with system owners to facilitate the enrollment of enterprise IT assets into the centralized logging repository.
· Develop and implement a schema to standardize logs being ingested into the system.
· Conduct independent validation and verification (IV&V) of consolidated logs to ensure data integrity and security.
· Support the review and approval process for secured external website access requests (EWARS).
· Oversee the Enterprise IT configuration Change Management process to ensure compliance and security.
· Administer user accounts for Justice Enterprise File Sharing (JEFS).
· Engage in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing data management practices.
· Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
Unique Skills/Tasks/Software:
· Proficiency in Cybersecurity SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Elastic).
· Experience with Microsoft Power Platform applications (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate).
· Familiarity with Atlassian Software products (JIRA, Confluence, Service Desk, etc.).
Preferred Certifications:
· PMI Project Management Professional (PMP)
· Splunk Core Certified Power User
· ITIL v4 Practice Manager (PM)
· Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
· Minimum 3 years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, or related roles.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
· Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices is a plus.
