Overview
NexThreat is seeking a highly motivated Program Manager to lead and coordinate a variety of compliance and regulatory projects within the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, and excellent project management skills. This role will be instrumental in supporting the SEC's mission to protect investors and maintain fair, orderly, and efficient markets.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Leadership: Direct and oversee multiple projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and regulatory requirements.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, financial institutions, and industry participants, to effectively communicate project timelines, expectations, and outcomes.
Risk Management: Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize potential impacts on program objectives.
Process Improvement: Evaluate current processes and propose enhancements to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of regulatory efforts.
Resource Allocation: Manage resources effectively and ensure adequate support for project initiatives, including budgeting and personnel management.
Compliance Oversight:
- Ensure that all project activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and SEC policies.
- Prepare written documents and communicate with both business and technical stakeholders.
- Must have experience in and understand security architecture for web applications and infrastructure and have experience and working knowledge of Security Assessment and Authorization (SA&A) activities in accordance with standards from NIST.
- Must have expertise and experience in performing continuous monitoring activities for systems to include monitoring for security threats, performing access reviews, reviewing and developing mitigations for vulnerability assessment reports, and proposing enhancements for systems security.
- Must have experience supporting security operations centers (or similar capabilities) in systems reviews and potential incident investigations.
- Must obtain and maintain knowledge of the security architecture and the business purpose of systems under his/her purview.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration; advanced degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management.
Skills:
- Proven experience in project management, with proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
