NexThreat is seeking an experienced Team Lead to oversee and guide vendor employees. This role involves planning and managing projects to maximize resource use and deliver timely, accurate reports. The ideal candidate excels in problem-solving, resource allocation, and performance monitoring while collaborating effectively with government and vendor stakeholders.
The Team Lead Firewall Administrator will assist the DLA Enterprise Network Micro-Segmentation Software Application Solution Support in providing Technology Foundation Services and Data Center Services. The primary responsibility is to design, plan, test, implement, and sustain an Enterprise COTS network micro-segmentation software application solution across both physical and cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities:
DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level II or IAT III (e.g., Sec , CASP , CISM, CISSP).
Computing Environment Certification: A Firewall Certification such as Palo Alto, Check Point (CCSA, CCSE), Cisco, or similar.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide overall supervision for vendor employees, ensuring effective project planning and management
- Schedule work to maximize resource utilization and ensure timely delivery of accurate reports
- Resolve problems, allocate resources, manage personnel, and monitor operational performance while taking direction from government representatives
- Develop product requirements from inception to conclusion, creating specifications for simple to moderately complex issues
- Coordinate with Vendor PM, PMO, and government user representatives to ensure solutions meet technical requirements and user satisfaction
- Eight (8) years of relevant DoD experience, including:
- Strong background in network troubleshooting, security policy formulation, and firewall configuration
- Working knowledge of host-based firewalls
- Understanding of industry-standard network environments, including firewall and security hardware/software
- Familiarity with Cybersecurity Best Practices
- Experience with firewall software and hardware upgrades
- Experience in building and configuring new firewalls
- In-depth knowledge of LAN and WAN operations, with moderate knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
- Proficiency with industry-standard Incident Ticket Tracking systems for managing incident tickets and work orders
- Experience in processing and documenting trouble tickets, and coordinating with technicians for resolution
- Knowledge of installation, configuration, and day-to-day sustainment of host-based firewalls, including management servers
- Expertise in managing firewall rule bases in compliance with cybersecurity requirements, adhering to Ports, Protocols, and Services Management (PPSM) standards
