POSITION SUMMARY Qualified Field Electrical Technician maintains and troubleshoot the medium voltage and control voltage equipment and computers used in the oilfield operations.Primary responsibilities include performing intermediate to advanced tests, troubleshooting, maintenance, calibration, and repairs on electrical and electromechanical equipment at field locations. Key AccountabilityEssential Functions •Perform regular and scheduled maintenance on hydraulic fracturing equipment to ensure equipment remains in good working order. •Perform preventative and general maintenance on medium and low voltage switchgear, breakers, power transformers, AC Drives, Starters, Motors, power cables and disconnects. •Troubleshoot problems with power control systems and complex equipment associated with switchgear, breakers, power transformers, AC Drives, Starters, Motors, power cables and disconnects. •Perform Preventative maintenance, and Troubleshoot problems with Data acquisition, control systems and network. •Knowledge of proper grounding, meagering cables, and lockout tagout. •Assemble, install or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components. •Must be able to properly use various testers, such as multimeters, meggers, oscilloscope, along with other hand tools to complete a job. •Be able to exercise the proper use of wiring techniques for 12 volt DC, 24 volt DC, 120 volt DC, 120 volt AC, 240 volt AC, 480 volt AC, 600 volt AC and 13.8 kV single and three-phase. • Perform emergency repairs on electronics and equipment in the field or yard as required. •Must perform proper and safe cable routing. •Diagnose electrical problem and troubleshoot how to correct them using wiring schematics, repair manuals, and part catalogs as necessary. •Inspect, operate, and test equipment and components to diagnose malfunctions. •Test equipment at Manufacturer's facility to ensure that equipment meets company standards prior to being dispatched to the field. •Document repairs, inspections, and testing for all equipment. •Maintain a safe work environment following all QHSE requirements at all times. •Perform all other job duties assigned. •Continually emphasize safety.Participate or lead safety meetings, hazard hunts and ensure JSA’s are followed. •Know, follow, and periodically review the requirements established by job policy and procedure.Follow established procedures and guidelines. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Language Comprehension Ability to understand and speak English at a level of proficiency allowing employees to issue, receive and respond to both safety and operations-related directions in English. Knowledge/Skill/Ability •Knowledge of medium voltage and low voltage electronic test instruments and tools. •Knowledge of instrumentation such as flow meters, transducers, densimeters and controllers. •Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office. •Knowledge of hydraulic or hydraulic applications as controlled by electronic components and systems. •Knowledge of electrical schematics/drawings. The ability to read P&ID and electrical diagrams and other complex electrical drawings. •Networking and Radio Communications. •Strong Work Ethic and ability to learn. •Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety manuals, operations instructions and policies/procedures. and communicate this information effectively. •Ability to write reports and simple correspondence and effectively. Communicate/present information to groups of coworkers, customers, or members of the management team. •Ability to read blueprints and schematics to perform component troubleshooting. •Ability to promote safety awareness, follow policies & procedures on quality, health, safety & environment. •Knowledge of IEEE 1584, NFPA 70E
