Dispatcher

Job Summary:

Do you have the ability to remain professionally calm when the stress is turned up and everything is changing? Are you confident while working on several tasks at once in a fast-paced environment? We are looking for experienced Dispatchers that can multi-task in a fast pace environment, in a newly formed team and able to maintain a good attitude in stressful situations. Looking someone who is a team player and willing to help others.

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for the coordination of commercial vehicle routing and load planning in order to meet customer service levels
• Address problems and request made by the customers and drivers
• Enter data in dispatch system to maintain logs and records of calls, activities and other information
• Communicates with drivers, dispatcher(s) and supervisors at shift change for current status and issues
• Perform work in accordance with company standards and regulations
• Follow through to watch progress and assure timely assistance by monitoring the route and status of technicians
• Must stay aware of information related to jobs, traffic, obstacles, and requirements and providing this feedback to the technicians
• Manages schedules and assure its adherence
• Contributes to a fun, upbeat culture
• Perform other duties as assigned

Skills:

• Excellent communication & customer service skills. Must speak clearly and professionally.
• Able to multi task
• Handle lots of Data Entry
• Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
• Ability to use initiative and work efficiently with minimal supervision

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Heavy phone experience

Work Environment/Hazards:

• Working conditions primarily inside an office environment
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
• High level of interaction with external/internal clients

Physical Demands:

• Stationary position for 8-10 hours a day
• To perform this job successfully, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position. Daily movements include sitting, standing, operating computers and other office equipment, and moving about the office. The employee must be able to communicate via email and verbally via telephone.

Working Hours/Days:

• Monday - Friday 7am-6pm
• Full time
• (4) 10 hours shifts = 40 hours
