As a flexible-first organization, this role requires the Strategic Operations Manager to be onsite at the office two-three days a week. 

What you’d be doing in this role

As a Strategic Operations Manager at Nextpoint, you’ll play a key role in driving operational efficiency and aligning processes with our business goals. You’ll collaborate across departments to develop and implement strategies that improve productivity, streamline operations, and foster growth. Along the way, you’ll apply your strategic thinking and leadership skills to optimize workflows and ensure success across the organization.

We’re looking for someone who is highly skilled, results-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You have a knack for analyzing complex systems, a passion for driving continuous improvement, and the ability to lead teams through change. If you succeed in this role, you’ll be instrumental in shaping the future of our operations and contributing to the long-term success of our organization.

The impact you’ll make

  • Develop and Execute Operational Strategies
    You’ll design and implement strategies that align with organizational goals, driving operational excellence and long-term success.
  • Collaborate with Leadership: You’ll work closely with senior leadership to identify growth opportunities, streamline processes, and implement cost-saving initiatives that enhance organizational efficiency.
  • Optimize Processes for Efficiency: You’ll analyze current workflows, identify areas for improvement, and implement new tools and technologies to increase productivity and reduce costs.
  • Foster Cross-Department Collaboration: You’ll partner with teams across the organization to ensure smooth integration of strategies, promote clear communication, and align departmental goals with business objectives.
  • Monitor Key Metrics: You’ll track objectives, key results (OKRs), and other performance metrics to assess success, identify challenges, and guide data-driven decision-making.
  • Manage Budgets and Resources: You’ll assist in budgeting and resource allocation, ensuring operations are cost-effective and aligned with financial goals.
  • Mentor and Lead Teams: You’ll guide and support team members, fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture, conducting performance evaluations, and providing constructive feedback to drive individual and team growth.
  • Leverage Data for Continuous Improvement: You’ll utilize data to identify trends, optimize workflows, and refine strategies, ensuring operations remain agile and effective.
  • Ensure Seamless Implementation of Initiatives: You’ll oversee the successful execution of operational initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
  • Stay Organized with Tools: You’ll utilize project management systems and tools to track progress, manage tasks, and ensure operational initiatives stay on schedule.

Your expertise
You’ve got 5 years of experience in operations management or a strategic role, ideally in a fast-growing organization. If you’ve worked on process optimization or operational strategy in dynamic environments, even better.

Skills and Abilities

  • You’re a natural leader with a proven ability to guide and inspire teams while fostering collaboration and achieving goals.
  • You’ve got a knack for crafting and executing operational strategies, analyzing data, and optimizing processes to drive efficiency and growth.
  • Numbers don’t scare you—you have a strong financial acumen and hands-on experience with budgeting, resource allocation, and forecasting.
  • Communication is your superpower. Whether in writing or conversation, you know how to get your point across clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
  • You’re a strategic thinker who thrives on balancing long-term planning with the demands of day-to-day operations.
