As a Body Shop Technician, you are a valued member of our team. This is a skilled position that is responsible for replacing, repairing and refinishing a wide variety of Medium & Heavy Duty Trucks ensuring attention to detail. In this position, you essential duties are to :
- Conduct detailed inspection of vehicle, parts and components
- Repair damaged vehicle frames, inner structures and cosmetic aspects. repairs and refinishes semi-tractor and trailers.
- Installs equipment, components and systems.
- Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
- Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts.
- Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
- Report machinery defects or malfunctions to the supervisor.
- Ensure that the vehicle is kept clean. Notify service advisor / dispatcher immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle.
- Maintains and is accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals. Return them to the proper place and in the same condition as when they were received.
- Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, EPA rules and regulations, etc. Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins.
- Operates all tools / equipment in a safe manner and reports any safety issues immediately to management.
- All other duties assigned.
