Wage: $18.00 – 22.00/hour
wage will be based on an individual’s skills, certifications, education, and years of experience
Work Hours: Monday – Friday 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

The Counter Part Sales is responsible for selling parts to all customers over the counter, through the shop, or on the phone in a friendly and efficient manner.
Essential Duties
Parts Counter Sales
- Assist all customers (retail and shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
- Answer phone calls, providing price quotes and other information.
- Provide and high level of service to internal and external customers.
- Pull and fill orders from stock.
- Locate out-of-Stock parts from outside sources and submit emergency orders as needed.
- Follow up on Back ordered parts.
- Replenishes assigned inventory.
- Assists Outside Sales Representatives with their orders.
- Makes sure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair orders.
- Receive payment from retail customers or obtain credit authorization.
- Ensure that all charge sales are signed by the customer.
- Ensure that all customers receive their copy of the invoice.
- Issue credit for parts returned, ensuring that the original invoice, or its number is available so that purchase and pricing can be verified.
- Make over the counter and telephone sales, invoice customers, and take payments.
- Assist customers in part selection, provide technical information, and advice.
- Suggest possible add-on items as appropriate.
- Promote sales by telephone, mail, and email.
- Keep counter areas clean and uncluttered.
- Other duties, as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
- High School Diploma and/or GED
- 1 year of experience in parts counter sales, or an Associate’s degree and 1 year of experience in the industry.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Clean driving record
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Computer proficiency
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers of employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations with only limited resources. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
