The Shop Foreman leads, mentors and manages service shop personnel to ensure an exceptional level of customer service is achieved.
As a Shop Foreman, you are a valued member of our team, performing these duties:
Assigns work in a productive manner to achieve quality repairs and ensure promised estimated time of repair (ETR) is achieved.
Maintains constant and accurate communications with Service Writers and lead technicians.
Works closely with quality control process of all repairs in order to minimize reworks, comebacks, and any customer dissatisfaction with Nextran products and/or services.
Directly supervises technician trainees.
All other duties as assigned.
Preferred Candidates have the following:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in heavy-duty truck industry managing/supervising technicians of Class 6,7 and/or 8 trucks
- Have, or quickly obtain, Master Tech Certification for the OEM's Nextran services
- Strong interpersonal and verbal skills in order to communicate with customers, technicians, service writers and vendors in a professional manner
- Computer proficiency
- Experience with Asist and/or Karmak software a plus
- Customer-focused mindset
- H.S. diploma; college or technical training preferred
- Valid CDL preferred
Compensation: $20 - $30/hour
