Duties:
- Conduct individual, group, and family counseling sessions to address mental health concerns
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on client needs and goals
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing
- Provide crisis intervention and support to clients in acute distress
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure comprehensive treatment
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine appropriate diagnosis and treatment recommendations
- Provide education and support to clients and their families regarding mental health issues
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in counseling, Psychology, Social Work or related field
- Current state licensure as a Mental Health Therapist (LAC/LPC, LMFT, LMSW/LCSW/PLMSW, etc.)
- Experience working with diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and families
- Knowledge of various therapeutic modalities, including psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and applied behavior analysis
- Familiarity with special education services and supports for individuals with developmental disabilities
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport with clients from different backgrounds
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Experience in addiction counseling or trauma-informed care is a plus
