We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced distribution center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other heavy equipment to ensure the efficient movement of goods within the warehouse. This role is crucial for maintaining an organized and productive environment, contributing to the overall success of our operations.
Duties
- Operate forklifts and cranes to load and unload materials from trucks and storage areas.
- Safely transport products throughout the warehouse, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Utilize a Warehouse Management System (WMS) for tracking inventory and managing orders.
- Perform order picking tasks, ensuring accuracy in fulfilling requests.
- Assist with shipping and receiving operations, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to company safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members to build pallets and prepare products for distribution.
Experience
- Previous experience operating forklifts in a distribution center or warehouse environment is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge is a plus, enabling effective troubleshooting of equipment issues.
- Experience with order picking processes and shipping/receiving operations is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices in the workplace.
