Our Overland Park, KS location is looking for a Senior Software Engineer.
We are looking for skilled Java software engineers that works well in a team environment, is flexible, hard-working, motivated, and deadline driven to develop enterprise grade tools and applications. An ideal candidate will have experience in many of the skills listed below, as well as solid computer science fundamentals and be willing to take on a wide range of responsibilities.

We build the no-code enterprise application platform (a.k.a. “EAP”) that is used by Nextworld’s customers and partners to create and run enterprise-grade business solutions. We have a knack for abstracting complex technical concepts into no-code facilities that are straightforward to use. The Platform allows for the development and execution of involved, integrated business applications — complete with workflow, business logic, eventing, external callouts, notifications, various user experiences, artificial intelligence, and more. Examples of applications suites built on the Platform are enterprise financials, sales, inventory, manufacturing, and real estate.

$128,000 – $151,000 per year

Responsibilities:
- Develop new features
- Build reusable code and libraries for future use
- Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, advanced degree desired, or a combination of education and equivalent experience
- 8 years of experience in Java technology. Java 17 and above preferred.
- Proficient with OO analysis and design
- Experience with Agile / Scrum development methodologies
- Experience with developing large-scale enterprise cloud SaaS/PaaS solutions
- Experience in building complex highly scalable and performant systems
- Experience with Spring Boot 3, Hibernate 6, Spring Security 6.
- Experience writing Webservices (REST) and WebSockets
- Knowledge of relational databases and database persistence technologies, e.g., JDBC, JPA, etc.
- Database Management skills
- PostgeSQL and SQLite experience preferred
- Experience with Maven or Gradle
- Application packaging such as NPM and Jenkins. GitHub Actions a plus
- ReactJS, TypeScript and RappidJs experience a bonus
- Experience in application security, system security, JWT and Oauth
- Experience with distributed systems and multi-threaded applications
- LDAP and Azure Active Directory a plus
- Working knowledge of Barcodes and label printing a plus
- Programming/using multiple Linux environments
- Experience/familiarity with XML/JSON
