Position Description

As our Vice President, Channel and Alliances, this role reports directly into our CEO. You will start out as a "team of one" fully owning both the account management of our existing partners and the aggressive pursuit of new partnerships across current and emerging markets and channels. This is a hands-on leadership role that demands swift identification of prospects, meticulous nurturing of existing relationships, and proactive expansion into new territories / channels to drive our business forward.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive channel strategy that aligns with Nexus Cognitive's business objectives and accelerates partner-driven growth across regions.
  • Identify, evaluate, and establish strategic partnerships (e.g. AWS, GCP, Databricks, etc.) to expand market reach and drive growth.
  • Build a strategic joint pipeline with various Partners (e.g. AWS, GCP, Databricks etc.) and support the direct sales team in targeted end-user sales pursuits.
  • Lead and close large, strategic deals in collaboration with field sales and partner sales teams
  • Collaborate closely with Partner Sales and Channels teams to provide support, ensure pipeline generation, and drive seamless execution
  • Own the quota for generating new business and uncovering new opportunities through partners, including new workloads and logos
  • Work closely with sales, marketing, operations, and product teams to align channel initiatives with company-wide goals
  • Develop and monitor KPIs to track the success of channel programs, partner productivity, and revenue impact

This role is open to Visa sponsorship (US based).

Requirements

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or equivalent experience preferred
  • 10 years of experience in channel strategy, channel sales, or partner programs, with a strong focus on SaaS
  • Strong knowledge of open-source technologies, enterprise software applications, SaaS, databases, and cloud computing to be able to understand and articulate complex technological concepts; experience with marketplaces and technology partnerships is a plus
  • Deep understanding of partner ecosystems, with experience managing diverse channel partners, including resellers, distributors, ISVs, and system integrators.
  • Proven expertise in generating pipeline and driving revenue growth through channel strategies
  • History of 0 to 1 building and scaling successful global channel programs.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, customers, and partners
  • A blend of startup and larger enterprise experience is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders and successfully close deals.
  • Willingness to travel as required for partner meetings and team collaboration.
