Substance Abuse Counselor Team Leader

Growing counseling services looking to hire substance abuse licensed counselors with LMHC, LCSW, Intern, Group Facilitator, Etc.

* This is a Per Diem position base on your availibility each week.

JOB SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the Director, Nexus Blue Water Counseling (NBWC), the counselor provides crisis assessment, intervention, and coordination of care to clients, multidisciplinary collaborative service approach..

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conducts comprehensive psychosocial assessment, crisis assessment and diagnosis of patients who present for services primarily related to mental health and substance use disorder.
• Conducts suicide and homicide risk screening and assessment and evaluate need for inpatient psychiatric admission; or whether the patient would be appropriate for referral to outpatient care, or other services as an alternative to hospitalization.
• Provides crisis counseling through implementation of evidenced based practices for children, adolescents, and adults who need mental health services.
• Collaborates and provides consultation to members of the ICT, including NBWC physicians to enhance skill and effectiveness in treating patients.
• Provides consultation to clients, families, and staff regarding care, intervention, prevention, and out-patient treatment recommendations.
• Provides timely feedback regarding care, treatment recommendations and progress of patients via documentation in patient charts, and through verbal feedback.
• Coordinates integrated out-patient care needs and make appropriate referrals, and follow up as needed.
• Assists clients by promoting engagement in treatment.
• Completes all paperwork and electronic medical record (EMR) entry associated with the assessment.
• Other duties as assigned.

III. JOB QUALIFICATIONS Required

• Minimum 1 years of experience in a mental health settingProperly licensed in the state of Florida

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
