Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Mental Health Support Specialist to join our team at our psychiatric residential treatment facility. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the therapeutic plans of our clients and promoting a positive, respectful environment within the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and Reinforce Therapeutic Plans: Work closely with clients to provide guidance and direction in daily living activities, reinforcing their individualized therapeutic plans.
- Mentorship and Supervision: Provide mentorship and supervision to residents, ensuring they adhere to established guidelines and procedures.
- Treatment Plan Implementation: Collaborate with colleagues to implement treatment plans and deliver therapeutic services that meet the unique needs of each client.
- Resident Safety and Well-being: Ensure the safety and well-being of residents, working collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a positive, respectful, and clean environment.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Age Requirement: Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license essential.
- Certifications and Experience: A desire to work in the human services field and care for at-risk youth is essential. Previous experience in mental health or social services is an asset.
Physical Demands:
- Assistance with Physical Interventions: Must be able to assist staff in physical interventions and restraints of clients when necessary.
- Lifting and Mobility: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods (2-4 hours) and twist, bend, and stretch as needed.
Benefits and Compensation:
- Salary Range: $20.00 - $23.50 per hour.
- Full-time Opportunity: This is a full-time, on-site position.
