Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Admin/Sales Representative who is passionate about contributing to our mission and helping rural businesses succeed. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is a self-starter, and enjoys building relationships with clients. As an admin/Sales representative, you will play a key role in supporting the sales process, onboarding new clients, and ensuring they receive the best possible service to move forward with their business development projects. A consultative approach to sales is essential, and you'll be empowered to make a lasting impact on the businesses you engage with.
Key Responsibilities
- Outreach & Relationship Building: Actively canvas and cold-call eligible businesses in rural areas, establishing rapport and trust to introduce Nexus services.
- Consultative Sales: Educate potential clients about the various grants and government programs we support, tailoring conversations to their unique business needs.
- Client Onboarding & Training: Successfully onboard new clients, provide necessary training, and ensure they understand how to engage with Nexus services.
- Project Development Support: Assist clients in gathering documentation, site photos, and other required materials for the development of their project plans.
- Client Relationship Management: Maintain ongoing relationships with clients, offering guidance and support as they work through the grant application process, ensuring timely and accurate submission.
- Sales Growth: Drive new business opportunities, converting leads into clients, and managing a portfolio of clients to foster long-term partnerships.
- Administrative Support: Assist with general administrative tasks as needed to support the operations and success of the Nexus team.Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Sales Experience: 1-2 years of sales experience, ideally in a quota-carrying or business development role.
- CRM Proficiency: Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems to track sales leads and manage customer interactions.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficient in Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, and Adobe. Knowledge of CRM systems is a plus.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex processes in a simple and approachable manner.
- Attention to Detail: Highly detail-oriented, with the ability to accurately evaluate client applications and ensure compliance with all guidelines.
- Self-Starter: Must be proactive, motivated, and capable of working independently to drive results in a remote or flexible work environment.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to handle complex client inquiries and resolve issues efficiently and calmly, particularly in high-pressure situations.
- Deadline Management: Comfortable working under tight deadlines, especially in relation to grant and contract submission timelines.
- Competitive Spirit: A passion for meeting and exceeding targets, coupled with a desire to contribute meaningfully to the growth of rural businesses.
Compensation:
- Salary: $35K – $45K annually, commensurate with experience.
