Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Maintenance to oversee and manage the maintenance department. The primary purpose of this role is to ensure that our facility is maintained in excellent condition and compliant with all safety regulations and building codes. The ideal candidate will coordinate maintenance activities to create a safe, comfortable environment for both residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance operations, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Develop and implement maintenance policies and procedures to enhance overall facility upkeep.
- Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify and address maintenance needs.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety and fire regulations, as well as federal, state, and local building codes.
- Manage maintenance staff, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations.
- Oversee repair and maintenance projects, including budget management and vendor coordination.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and address any facility-related concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and inventory management.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- At least five years of supervisory experience in a commercial establishment, with a strong understanding of maintenance procedures and practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and building codes.
