Pain Management Nurse Practitioner

Compensation: $190,000 per year

Overview: Nexus HR is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for a reputable pain management specialty clinic in San Jose, CA. The ideal candidate must have a current California Nurse Practitioner License and an established experience in pain management.

Promotes and maintains patient health by providing medical services under the supervision of a physician.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Promotes and maintains patient health by providing medical services under the supervision of a physician.

• Work under the direction of a fellowship-trained pain physician.

• Consider and work toward a long-term plan for each patient while attending to immediate, visit-specific needs.

• Interview and examine patients; review outside studies and medical histories.

• Treating a wide variety of patients with musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, and pain disorders,

• Performing trigger point, joint, nerve, and soft tissue injections.

• Reading X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, and other imaging.

• Document patient care services on the day of service.

• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of experience in pain management or any relevant specialties

• Experience with workers’ comp patients is highly preferred

• Preference towards procedures is a plus

• Must have a current California license, graduate from an approved Nurse Practitioner Program, and be certified by the appropriate credentialing body. 

• Minimum one year of experience as an NP/FNP

• One year of experience in Pain Management is preferred

• Active DEA license without restrictions.

• Must have a current California license.

• Able to work in San Mateo, CA
