Onsite IT Associate - Los Angeles, CA
Compensation: $25 to $27 per hour
Overview: Nexus HR is looking for an Onsite IT Associate- LA. The ideal candidate provides hands-on technical support, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. The associate typically addresses technical challenges and ensure smooth IT operations.

Ensures that hardware, software, networking infrastructure, and other technological systems are functioning properly and efficiently. Involves direct interaction with users and equipment, handling tasks such as system setups, repairs, updates, and resolving technical issues in real-time.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide onsite technical support for hardware, software, and networking issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve desktop, laptop, printer, and peripheral device issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software, and applications.
- Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, etc.).
- Support Windows/macOS/Linux environments and Active Directory management.
- Perform system updates, patches, and preventive maintenance.
- Manage user accounts, access controls, and security policies.
- Coordinate with vendors and third-party service providers for repairs and replacements.
- Document technical issues, resolutions, and procedures for future reference.
- Assist with IT asset management, inventory tracking, and procurement.
- Provide basic training and support to end users for IT-related queries.
- Ensure compliance with company IT policies and security standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree/diploma in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).
- 2 years of experience in IT support or onsite technical roles.
- Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
- Experience with network troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, VPN, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with hardware troubleshooting and repair.
- Knowledge of Active Directory, Office 365, and enterprise applications.
- Familiarity with IT security principles, antivirus, and endpoint protection.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
