Location: Ann Arbor, MI, Lansing, MI, & Jackson, MI
Compensation: $72,000 - $80,000 Annually 5k - 10k Sign-on Bonus Incentive Program

About the Job
The physical therapist will provide quality physical therapy care and education to patients to assist them in reaching their goals for activity and promoting a healthy lifestyle. The therapist creates a welcoming and caring environment that will help to ensure patients will be compliant and view ORS as their therapy provider for life.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Greet patients warmly, using their names and appropriate eye contact.
Review medical referrals, perform evaluations, and develop individualized care plans based on physician prescriptions.
Communicate treatment plans, attendance expectations, and discharge plans clearly from Day 1.
Collaborate with patients to set goals and define success.
Deliver treatments focused on functional improvement and reinforce positive behaviors for outcomes.
Utilize and regularly review FOTO questionnaires to track patient progress.
Implement evidence-based techniques and maintain accurate, timely documentation.
Adhere to scheduling guidelines, accommodate patient needs, and ensure all visits comply with Plans of Care.
Coordinate with Patient Account Services for insurance authorizations and manage communication tasks in Raintree.
Ensure discharged patients have home exercise programs and know when to seek further care.
Understand billing guidelines (8-minute rule, timed codes) and prioritize functional treatment codes.
Prepare for each day by reviewing patient information and planning treatments.
Request patient reviews/testimonials to promote the clinic services.
Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants, Therapy Aides, and students/interns.
Follow HIPAA guidelines to protect patient privacy.
Build positive relationships with patients, referral sources, and the community.
Stay updated on professional standards, attend continuing education, and share knowledge with the team.
Maintain active licensure and provide timely documentation of renewals.
Engage in marketing, community events, and wellness education.
Address concerns constructively with supervisors to improve TeamORS.
Qualifications:
Must have degree in physical therapy from an accredited college or university and be licensed in the state of Michigan.
Ability to stand, kneel, squat, bend, grasp, and reach as necessary to perform evaluation and treatment of patients.
Ability to walk/stand for long periods of time.
Ability to utilize an electronic documentation system.
Ability to communicate information to patients and coworkers.
