Position Overview:
The Cyber Engineering Manager will be responsible for leading and managing engineering teams delivering complex DoD systems. This role ensures technical, cost, and schedule performance across multiple projects while adhering to Agile and DevSecOps best practices. The ideal candidate has a strong background in cybersecurity, infrastructure, and network engineering and will work closely with senior leadership to drive mission-critical solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage Agile engineering teams, ensuring efficient development and delivery of cyber, network, and infrastructure solutions.
- Oversee Earned Value Management (EVM), tracking cost, schedule, and performance metrics.
- Ensure compliance with Agile methodologies, including Jira updates, backlog management, and sprint planning.
- Develop, track, and report technical, staffing, and financial metrics (SPI/CPI/TCPI).
- Identify and manage risks, dependencies, and technical issues across multiple teams.
- Support proposal development, staffing forecasts, and engineering cost estimates.
- Maintain and enforce engineering best practices, including configuration management and testing.
- Provide guidance on C2BMC and missile defense-related projects.
- Develop and present technical reports, risk assessments, and strategic plans to leadership and stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with 14 years or Master’s with 12 years of experience in cyber, network, or infrastructure engineering.
- Proven leadership experience managing complex DoD engineering programs.
- Strong knowledge of EVM principles, cost/schedule analysis, and variance explanations.
- Experience in Agile development, DevSecOps, and related tools (Jira, Confluence, Kubernetes, Ansible).
- Strong understanding of network security, risk management, and software development integration.
- Active SECRET clearance, with the ability to obtain TS/SCI.
- Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting technical information to leadership and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- C2BMC or Missile Defense System experience.
- Agile certification (SAFe, PMI-ACP, CSM).
- Familiarity with cloud computing, automation, and software-defined networking.
Work Environment:
- Responsible for both engineering new capabilities and maintaining existing systems.
