The Field IT Manager will guarantee the seamless operation of IT systems and offer thorough support for the technical infrastructure. You will be in charge of managing network/POS administration, keeping our locations' IT infrastructure up to date and optimized, and offering restaurant employees technical help. In order to maximize productivity and efficiency while upholding the highest standards of data security and integrity, you will work in conjunction with other departments.
Principal Obligations:
- Act as the main point of contact for field IT requirements in the New England region (mostly in Massachusetts and New Hampshire, with some sites in Connecticut and Maine).
- Oversee the security of restaurant networks by managing a third-party network security vendor.
- Make sure restaurant networks are stable. For larger projects, oversee low voltage contractors and troubleshoot/reterminate cables in break-fix scenarios.
- Assure the correct operation of all on-site equipment, including cameras, A/V systems, host stand tablets, and point-of-sale hardware.
- As a Toast POS system subject matter expert, make sure that configurations meet corporate requirements.
- Oversee initiatives for company-wide enhancements, such as computer deployments, phone replacements, and internet circuit upgrades.
- Assist new site openings with go-live support and early IT installations.
- Assist restaurant employees with technical problems by quickly fixing hardware and software problems.
- To find areas for improvement and make the required adjustments, conduct routine system and location audits.
- Build trusting relationships with your vendor partners to control scope and guarantee that the right kind of service is delivered.
- Teach restaurant staff how to use IT systems efficiently.
