The Nexus Pain Center offers spinal-focused interventional pain management using the Boston Scientific Spinal Cord Stimulator and Stryker Radiofrequency tools, as well as nonsurgical options for pain and nonopioid medical therapies for those over the age of 18. These specialists pride themselves on their ability to give their patients the best care and service.
We are looking for a responsible person to fill the role of Laboratory Collection Specialist. Experience is preferred. The ideal candidate will have experience in the field and eClinicalWorks charting systems. The experience is used in determining the starting wage.
Hours: M-T 7:30am-4:00pm; Fridays 7:30am-1:30pm
General Purpose:
- NEXus Pain Center of Columbus, LLC is seeking a full-time laboratory assistant to aid with daily operations in the laboratory. The laboratory assistant is responsible for performing standard laboratory procedures including specimen collection (urine only), prepare laboratory samples, and other duties as assigned.
- This position will support the scheduling of the collections with support and training from the lab administration team.
Essential Duties and Responsibility:
- Perform clerical duties such as formulating excel spreadsheets and creating patient orders.
- Prepare and collect laboratory specimens for laboratory analysis and testing.
- Participate in specimen collection and ensure integrity of sample.
- Input patient information into electronic system and produce requisitions.
- Provide support in all areas of the laboratory.
- Comply with all applicable safety requirements including the use of personal protective equipment.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a focus on quality and extreme confidentiality
- Must be able to perform basic computer programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel
- Attentions to detail and exceptional customer service skills
- Previous laboratory experience preferred
No Weekends, no on call, no nights. Starting pay is $15/hr with Benefits which include 401- K matching, Dental, Vision, Medical, Free Lunches several times a month, PTO accumulation and Holiday Pay.
