New Patient Coordinator
We are looking for a responsible and mature New Patient Coordinator. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the field of New Patient Coordinating. We use eClinicalWorks charting systems. The Skills, knowledge and experience is used in determining the starting wage.
Hours:
Monday-Thursday: 7:30am to 4:00pm
Fridays: 7:30am to 1:30pm
Responsibilities:
- Create chart for new patient
- Verify insurance benefits
- Schedule New Patients
- Mail/Email New Patient Packets
- Fax Appointment Confirmations to referring provider
- Update Telephone Communications or TCOMs accordingly (Insurance verified, referral scanned into chart, patient scheduled, patient declined appointment, etc.)
- Answer phone calls for the New Patient line
- Schedule VA, Tricare, Medicare and URGENT patients STAT
- Checking PDMP for former pain management treatment
- Scheduling new patients with appropriate providers
- Distributing materials to patients who have been scheduled
- Communicating referral status to referring offices
- Answer all questions and concerns regarding new hires within a timely manner
Skills:
- Previous experience as a New Patient Coordinator preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Familiarity with medical office software Eclinical a plus
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy laws
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
