We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Construction Manager to join our team at Nexus Solutions. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for managing complex projects from planning to completion.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee project planning, execution, and close-out.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, including 3-week look-ahead plans.
- Coordinate on-site subcontractors, consultants, and vendors.
- Conduct regular site meetings to address any issues and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Manage the submittal process and ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and applicable laws.
- Maintain daily logs and construction progress photos.
- Ensure all project work and materials comply with project plans, specifications, and applicable codes and regulations.
- Conduct quality control audits.
- Mitigate risks to both Nexus Solutions and our clients.
- Review and interpret design drawings, product literature, and applicable codes and regulations.
- Communicate deviations to the Project Manager and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Manage projects to meet or exceed industry standards, practices, and processes.
- Enforce project site schedules to ensure timely and quality completion without incidents.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in construction management.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to operate with integrity and empathy, and build lasting trust-based relationships.
- Self-directed and highly organized approach to work.
- Able to hold self and others accountable to drive projects forward.
- Demonstrated knowledge of codes and construction practices.
- Computer skills with competency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Bluebeam.
- Experience reading and interpreting plans and specifications.
