Nexus Therapy is now hiring for a part-time school psychologist position working in a hybrid role for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year! This position pays $58 per hour as a W2 employee of Nexus, for providing evaluations and attending meetings on-site and writing reports remotely. There are 6.5 hours per full day worked (19.5 per week). You'd be working with a great, supportive school in beautiful Sandpoint, Idaho. You'd be working with about 73 students grades 6-12. Disabilities are largely ASD and OHI. Must be licensed as a school psychologist in the state of Idaho.
```Duties:```
- Conduct psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Provide counseling and support to students dealing with social, emotional, or behavioral issues
- Assist in the development and implementation of school-wide programs to promote positive mental health and well-being
- Conduct crisis interventions and provide support during emergencies or traumatic events
- Monitor student progress and make recommendations for interventions or additional support as needed
```Experience:```
- Master's degree in School Psychology or related field
- Idaho state certification or license as a School Psychologist
- Knowledge of assessment tools and techniques used in evaluating students' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning
- Familiarity with special education laws and regulations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, teachers, and other professionals
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines in working with sensitive student information
